GPRS And Pakistan

General packet radio service (GPRS) is actually a  mobile data service basically used for communications.
As the speed of gprs is very low as compared to 2G systems and 3g, so gprs is getting older but it is the building block of mobile internet. Theoretically speed of GPRS is 56–114 kbit/second but it remains between 5-10 kb in Pakistan. 2G cellular technology combined with GPRS is called 2.5G, you can say it an technology between the 2G and 3G. It provides moderate-speed data transfer, by using unused time division multiple access (TDMA) channels in, for example, the GSM system.
3G also coming soon in Pakistan and the licenses of 3G have already been sold. It will be the beginning of a new era in Pakistan.
